Spatter

Terms of Service

Last updated October 4, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Jash Bhankharia, doing business as Spatter in New Jersey, USA ("Spatter", "we"), for using the Spatter app and spatter.app. By creating an account or using Spatter you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

Using Spatter

Recipes from other creators

Spatter helps you keep recipes from websites and Instagram for your own cooking. Those recipes belong to their creators. Spatter credits and links to the original, and you agree to use imported recipes for personal, non-commercial use only and not to republish them as your own.

Only import links you're allowed to view. If a creator removes their post, its recipe may be removed from Spatter too.

Check before you cook

Recipes are put together automatically by AI from the source, and can contain mistakes: a wrong amount, a missed ingredient or step. Always compare with the original, especially for allergens, dietary needs and food safety such as cooking temperatures. Spatter isn't medical or nutritional advice.

Your content

Your notes, photos and lists stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to run Spatter for you. You can delete them, or your whole account, at any time.

Things you can't do

Ending things

You can stop using Spatter and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and we may change or stop the service; if we shut Spatter down, we'll give you notice where we reasonably can.

No warranty

Spatter is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that recipes will be accurate.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Spatter isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data or profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to Spatter is limited to the greater of US$50 or what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Jersey, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here takes away consumer rights you have under the law where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll change the date above, and for significant changes we'll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. Using Spatter after that means you accept the new terms.
